Unfortunately, all of you guys who are my chings are over there in the states so as much as I admit this is so unprofessional of me, I ask with a truly humbled and (truthfully), heavy heart that as hard as it is, that you might hopefully read this with an accepting and forgiving heart and mind. I sincerely apologize to all of you. I’m ashamed to say that this is definitely a wake-up call for me in realizing that I can’t let my full time schedule and transition of moving out of where I called home, and also out into the real world after college, get in the way of keeping in contact with some of you. I know…I’m the worst person in the world. But I PROMISE you I’ll update you on what’s been going on after all of this hecticosity! a thousand gazillion trillion apologies to anyone who may have felt like i was major evil and MIA on the face of this earth until now. please take the time to read some of this and PRAY FOR ME! I BEGGGG OF THEE. http://www.xanga.com/jubileemissions. <----glimpse of some of the missions training. ^_____^ CAMBODIA – Missions. 2007 Dear Friends and Family! I'm excited to inform you that I’ve been given the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the people of Cambodia. My Church, Jubilee, is sending a short term missions team of about 28 people there to join with Hope Cambodia Ministries led by Pastor Jonathan Lee (www.hopecambodia.com). We will be leaving on February 17th and returning on February 25th. This letter is to inform you of both, what is going in my life presently but also to provide a glimpse into what God is doing in Cambodia. Cambodia is a country with a harsh history of civil uprising, wars, and even genocide. During the Khmer Rouge regime of the late 1970’s, it has been estimated that the regime murdered two million of their own people. As a result, the kingdom of Cambodia might be better known as “The Killing Fields.” In short, there has been tremendous tragedy in Cambodia but nevertheless, there is still great hope because God has not been deaf to the cries of the Cambodian people. Since the 1990’s, despite the political instability of the country, God has been sending more and more of His people to Cambodia with the message of a kingdom that is eternal, whose King is the King of kings, and Lord of lords. This letter is to inform you of both, what is going in my life presently but also to provide a glimpse into what God is doing in Cambodia. I am especially excited about this trip because I believe God has placed a special burden on my heart for this land. So as I write this support letter to you, I ask that you join me in PRAYER, foremost. The 8 day trip will take place between February 17-24, 2007. I’m terrified because I’ve heard of the potential dangers of this place but I realize that the people of Cambodia don’t even have the option of not being there or simply picking up to leave. I can only rely on God for protection. All of this is mentioned in light that most importantly, that I may be supported by you through PRAYER! I have listed 3 prayer requests below: 1. Please pray that I may be readied in heart, mind and spirit that I will be refined, pure, and moldable for His glory’s work. 2. Please pray that I may be open to and understanding of what God is doing specifically in this land. There is a lot of unknowns, so I ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance. 3. Finally, please pray that I may be obedient to whatever God has prepared for me through and as a result of this trip. . In addition to prayer support, it is always difficult financially to go serve in the field. Currently, I am in a period of transition in which I will no longer be teaching full-time. So, if you are able to support me through finances, please do so with the following information: Washington Mutual Bank Borra Isabel Han Account #4883785863 If you will be praying for me or supporting me through financial means, I would love to know so that I can report-back upon my return. Although I will be going in body, I pray that you will join me in spirit. You are all near and dear to my heart. Please let me know if you have any questions…In Him, Borra “Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ be revealed.” 1 Peter 1:13 |
